The event was attended by the Rector of the University of Medan Area, Prof. Dr. Dadan Ramdan, M.Eng, M.Sc; Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ir. Siti Mardiana, M.Si; Director of the Postgraduate Program at the University of Medan Area, Prof. Dr. Ir. Retna Astuti Kuswardani, MS and also the Head of LP2M, Dr. Ir. Sumihar Hutapea, MS.
This webinar activity presented speakers from the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB), Prof. Ir. Suminar Setiati Achmadi, Ph.D. The event was opened by the Moderator, Dr. M. Citra Ramadhan, SH, MH, and remarks delivered by the Chancellor of UMA, Prof. Dr. Dadan Ramdan, M.Eng, M.Sc.
In his material, Prof. Suminar explained the criteria for a good book, types of books, examples of book writing, do's and don'ts in book writing, as well as various reference guides produced by resource persons, as well as tips on how to get Textbook Grants and the publishing process at Scopus. Prof. Suminar also dissected the book draft of UMA lecturers who had sent and provided input and comments regarding the book to be published.
In the future, it is hoped that Medan Area University Lecturers can produce books that are useful for students and also the community
