University of Medan Area Chancellor Prof. Dr. Dadan Ramdan, M.Eng, M.Sc officially opened the Laboratory Officer certification activity (Head of Lab, Implementing Lecturer, Laboratory Assistant and Practicum Monitoring and Evaluation Officer) organized by PJK3 PT. Safindo Raya on Tuesday 10 March 2020.
The activity lasted for 3 days starting on the 10th s.d. March 13, 2020 in the Rector Meeting Room, Medan University Area Jl. Pond No.1 Medan Estate.
The Chancellor of Medan Area University in his remarks and opening address conveyed that all laboratory staff were expected to graduate. This activity was carried out in preparation for the accreditation of ISO / IEC 17025: 2017 for testing the compressive strength of concrete at UMA.
ISO / IEC 17025 is the main ISO standard used by testing and calibration laboratories. In most countries, ISO / IEC 17025 is a standard where most laboratories must have accreditation to be considered technically competent. In many cases, suppliers and regulatory authorities will not accept test or calibration results from non-accredited labs.
Then continued by PJK3 PT. Safindo Raya will provide training to lecturers and staff laboratory staff which lasts for 3 days.
