Routine study and gathering of the extended family of the Civitas Academica of Medan Area University was held at the Taqwa Mosque Campus I by the Haji Agus Salim Education Foundation Medan Area University on October 26, 2019 and attended by Staff, Lecturers, Students and Internship Students.
The Family Arisan / Routine Study was also attended by Medan Area University Chancellor, Academic Vice Chancellor, Administrative Chancellor Vice, Student Chancellor Vice, Vice Chancellor for Collaboration, Deans, and Functionaries of Medan Area University.
Enthusiastic all the academics of Medan Area University in attending routine recitation activities in order to increase knowledge in religious sciences as well as bermuasabah themselves in exploring the knowledge delivered.
The lecturer in this study was Ustadz Dr. Azhari Akmal Tarigan, MA, the material delivered by Ustadz is about Towards the Progress of the Ummah. A progress, not only demands quantity but also quality. Likewise, the progress of Indonesian Muslims, certainly cannot rely solely on Muslims as the majority religion. More than that, the potentials in it should be studied and developed.
The people have been pushed by the State through strategic policies. For example, the Government of Indonesia, through the Ministry of Religion, the State Islamic Religious College (PTKIN) continues to expand its scientific discipline wing. This opens up enormous opportunities for people to be able to take part in various public state institutions, not only confined within the Ministry of Religion.
Islamic encouragement of the progress of the people to answer various developments should be comprehensive, not only a matter of worship but also a matter of social community. Thus says the Almighty Allah; "Enter you into Islam (peace) as a whole" (udkhulu fi al silmi kaffah) (Q.S al-Baqarah [2]: 208). This means the obligation for us to uphold the teachings of life that is infinite, perfectly.
We hope that more scientists and Muslim practitioners will be born who are able to reach national and international issues in various fields, especially in areas that are currently stuttering, such as politics, economics and technology. Finally, in the future the people will not only debate about ideology, but also become great pioneers who are able to take control of Indonesia's future.
