Monday, August 12, 2019, the Quality Assurance Institute (LPM) held an event on the Socialization and Guidance of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) for the preparation of the Accreditation Instrument which was carried out in the Convention Hall of the University of Medan Area.
The event was attended by the Rector of UMA, Prof. Dr. Dadan Ramdan, M.Eng, M.Sc, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ir. Hj. Siti Mardiana, M.Sc, Deputy Chancellor for Administration, Dr. Utary Maharany Barus, SH, M.Hum, Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs, H.Muazzul, SH, M.Hum and Deputy Chancellor for Cooperation, Dr. Ir. H. Zulheri Noer, MP. Also present was the Head of the Quality Assurance Agency, Chalis Fajri Hasibuan, ST, M.Sc and also event participants consisting of functionaries from all faculties, including the Dean, Deputy Dean I, Deputy Dean III, Chair of the Study Program, and Study Program Secretary.
Prof. Dr. Dadan Ramdan, M.Eng, M.Sc as the presenter explained the material about:
a. National Policy on Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) based on the 2012 Law on Higher Education and Permenristekdikti No.63 of 2018 concerning Higher Education Quality Assurance System.
b. The scope of the SPM Dikti consists of SPMI and SPME / Accreditation.
c. Area of ??SPMI Implementation Based on Article 1 Number 17 of the Directorate of Higher Education Law and Article 33 Paragraph 4 of the Directorate of Higher Education Law
d. Discussion on the SPMI Cycle consisting of the Determination of Higher Education Standards, Implementation of Higher Education Standards, Evaluation (Implementation) of Higher Education Standards, Control (Implementation) of Higher Education Standards and Improvement of Higher Education Standards and also other materials.
Prof. Dr. Dadan Ramdan, M.Eng, M.Sc explained the material for two sessions, Session I took place during 09.00 - 12.00 WIB and Session II lasted for 13.30-16.00 WIB. The event was closed with a discussion session and direction and guidance from Dr. Ir. Hj. Siti Mardiana, M.Sc about the main things that must be done by all faculties and study programs in preparing preparations for study program standards that refer to Medan Area University Standards and also training in making Self Evaluation Reports (LEDs) for Accreditation Instruments.
