Wednesday, January 29, 2020, the Faculty of Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Study Program, University of Medan Area held a Public Lecture and Workshop and Publishing in Journal. The event was held at the Campus I Convention Hall and at the Computer Laboratory (Puskom) of the University of Medan Area.
The event was attended by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Dr. Ir. Hj. Siti Mardiana, MSi, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Mrs. Dr. Grace Yusiwta Harahap, ST, MT. Also attended by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Faculty of Engineering, Mrs. Susilawati, S.Kom, M.Kom, Deputy Dean for Student Affairs, Faculty of Engineering Mr. Indra Hermawan, ST, MT. Along with the faculty of engineering, and engineering faculty students. The speakers who attended were Mr. Prof. Madya MD Nizam Bin Abd. Rahman, Prof. Madya Mohd. Yuhazri Bin Yaakob, Mr. Rahmatullah, ST, M.Sc, IPM, ASEAN Eng, and Mr. Ir.Hasoloan Haery I.P, MT. The presenters came from the Malaysian Technical University of Malacca (UTeM).
The workshop was opened by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Dr. Ir. Hj. Siti Mardiana, M.Sc, in her speech said that she greatly appreciated today's program, an important event for sharing knowledge on how to write and publish a good journal for lecturers and students.
After the remarks given by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Dr. Ir. Hj. Siti Mardiana, M.Sc, Dean of the faculty of engineering also gave a speech he said the workshop was very important and we would get the latest insights related to how to write publishing in scientific journals and open new horizons and new thoughts, I hope the faculty of engineering lecturers also take advantage of this workshop which later will provide knowledge about publishing in scientific journals.
After that the speaker Mr. Prof. Madya MD Nizam Bin Abd. Rahman delivered material about Cloud manufacturing & Industry 4.0: New
Manufacturing said that by studying Cloud manufacturing & Industry 4.0: New Manufacturing, lecturers and students will find it easier to know the tricks of Cloud Manufacturing & Industry 4.0: New Manufacturing and also how to publish a scientific journal, he said.
The following is the event giving souvenirs from the Medan Area University to the speakers, Prof. Madya MD Nizam Bin Abd. Rahman and Mr Rahmatullah, ST, M.Sc, IPM, ASEAN Eng. Accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Mrs. Dr. Grace Yuswita Harahap, ST, MT and Mr. Bobby Umroh, ST, MT as the event committee and also a lecturer in mechanical engineering study program. The hope is that Malaysia Malacca Technical University (UTeM). can establish an MOU with field area universities so that it can be a reference for further studies and knowledge exchange in the future.
