The Faculty of Engineering, University of Medan Area held a public lecture with the theme "Design of Water Distribution System" which was held on Friday, May 24, 2019 at the University of Medan Area Convention Hall, Jl. Pool No. 1 Medan Estate.
This public lecture was opened and at the same time remarks by the Chancellor of UMA represented by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Dr. Faisal Amri Tanjung, MT., Was also attended by lecturers from the engineering faculty and all students of the engineering faculty at the Medan Area University.
In his remarks Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Dr. Faisal Amri Tanjung MT. said the Design of Water Distribution System public lecture aims to improve students' insights in the field / specialization, of course in the water distribution system to help economic power by flowing water from water sources to the public, for that understand well the material delivered by the speakers present at this event, the dean said.
The public lecture was attended by speakers from Prof. Dr. Ir. fahmi ridwan M.Eng C.Eng explained that the material about the water distribution system is the distribution or distribution of water through the pipeline system of the building (reservoir) to the service area (consumers), the water distribution system in its implementation is very serving the community and helps economic power by flowing water from water sources to consumers.
The water distribution system functions to supply water to domestic, commercial and industrial bodies with threshold pressures according to consumer needs, varying throughout the day, season and year.
