Medan Area University Chancellors attended the 2019 Indonesian Rector Forum Conference, Campus XV Convention and Annual Meeting of the Indonesian Chancellor Forum held at Diponegoro University Campus, on Thursday - Saturday, April 25-27, 2019 which was attended by the chancellor of state universities (PTN ) and private tertiary institutions (PTS) throughout Indonesia.
The Indonesian Chancellors' Forum is a normative institution and a forum for communication and exchange of ideas, ideas, and strategies between university leaders throughout Indonesia that is able to provide alternative solutions and strategic advice to the government and the community related to the development, regulation and improvement of higher education in Indonesia.
The activity took the theme "The Role of Higher Education Realizing Fair Development and Restructuring of Higher Education to Prepare Indonesian Gold Generation" opened by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, Prof. Ainun Na’im, Ph.D, M.B.A, followed by a Panel Discussion.
Before the opening, first I had to elect an FRI chair for the 2019-2020 period, where the Diponegoro University Chancellor Prof. Yos Johan Utama was chosen by acclamation as the new chairman of the FRI to replace Prof. Dr. Dwia Aries Tina Pulubuhu, M.A.
The 2019 Indonesian Chancellors' Conference (FRI) produced a number of recommendations which would later be submitted to the government, especially with regard to the increasingly severe challenges facing universities, especially in the face of the industrial revolution 4.0.
