Medan Area University (UMA) provides a special land for the Food Court or all-in-one hawker center, located in front of the UMA Campus I Student Dormitory, Jalan Kolam / Jalan Haji Agus Salim Medan Estate.
The provision of this land is an effort to relocate traders who have been selling on the roadside at the UMA campus. This is also to create beauty, cleanliness, and health, and to maintain the quality of the food and drinks served, with the provision of this location, UMA will more easily supervise traders, both about the halal, cleanliness, quality, and hygiene of the food served.
The hope is that UMA students do not eat food carelessly. If anything happens we don't know who the seller is. Meanwhile, in the Food Court, it is clear about the data on traders, types of food, and the quality of food served.
With this Food Court, students will feel at home on campus, no longer hanging out in cafes outside the campus. Moreover, at the Food Court location, free wifi is also provided. UMA provides styling and cleans water to traders.
In addition to creating beauty and health, this new Food Court location is also a place for students to learn entrepreneurship. This is in accordance with the vision and mission of UMA, which is to produce graduates who are Innovative, Personable, and Independent.
