University of Medan Area Chancellor Prof. Dr. Dadan Ramdan, M.Eng. M.Sc has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Labuhanbatu Regency, Plt. Labuhanbatu Regent H. Andi Suhaimi Dalimunthe, ST, MT in the Collaboration Acceleration of Regional Development Innovation, on Monday, March 25, 2019 in the morning at Polonia Hotel & Convention Medan.
The Memorandum of Understanding signed was about Strengthening the Capacity of the Labuhanbatu Regency Government through the Organization of Policy Studies, Competency Training and Development, State Administration Innovations and Higher Education.
Aside from the signing, the UMA Rector and Acting Director. Labuhanbatu Regent, the same signing was also carried out between the Acting Regent of Labuhanbatu and the Head of LAN-RI, Chancellor of the University of North Sumatra Prof. Dr. Runtung, SH, M.Hum, Rector of the Medan Institute of Technology Dr. Ir. Mahrizal Masri, MT, IPM, Muhammadiyah University of North Sumatra Dr. Agussani, M.AP, then between Acting Regent of Labuhanbatu and Dr. Palm Oil Research Center Iman Yani Harahap, Association of Indonesian Architects North Sumatra H. Syahlan Jukhri Nasution, ST, IAI and with the ITB Alumni Association of the North Sumatra Region Ir. Syaiful Basri Lubis.
Acting Regent of Labuhanbatu Andi Suhaimi Dalimunthe at the event said, "This event is not made for something that is not good, we make cooperation in the future where Labuhanbatu can become Labuhanbatu whose economy is even better, Going forward I want a breakthrough or the latest innovations must we made it in Labuhanbatu Regency, so today we made a partnership and I made an innovation which is to provide scholarships for our children who want to continue their studies either in the State or Private, which is important for Labuhanbatu children and have a Labuhanbatu ID card, and will also give Scholarships for children who can not afford to be able to continue their studies, as well as for our children who want to study abroad Al Azhar Cairo and we have cooperation there, last year we sent 5 people and this year as many as 6 people, "explained Andi Suhaimi.
The Chancellor of UMA hopes that the collaboration with the Labuhan Batu Regency Government is not only on paper, but will be directly implemented in real work.
