Housewives from Sumber Melati Diski Village, Sunggal District, Deli Serdang Regency, took part in the socialization and training of Creative Art counseling models organized by the Psychology Masters Program in the Medan Area University (UMA) Masters Program in the context of community service. This socialization was given to overcome stress in improving the quality of work life, this activity took place in the office hall of Sumber Melati Diski Village, Tuesday (3/19/2019).
Present at the event, the Head of SM Diski Village, Sariman S.Pd.I, Director of the UMA Masters Program Prof. Dr. Ir. Retna Astuti Kuswardani, MS. In addition, several UMA lecturers namely, Drs. Hasanudin, M.Ag, Ph.D, Chair of the UMA Master of Psychology Study Program Prof. Dr. Sri Milfayetty, M.Kons and Secretary of the Psychology Masters Study Program Nurmaida Irawani Siregar, S.Psi, M.Psi were present as resource persons in the event.
The guest speaker Drs. Hasanudin, M.Ag, Ph.D said that the activity was a UMA program in community service of the Psychology Masters Study Program. "Everyone can experience stress. Parents, teenagers and even children. So we want the community to be able to convey something or manage stress, "he said on the sidelines of the event. Drs. Hasanudin, M.Ag, Ph.D then gave a briefing on how to deal with stress to the mothers present. Participants seemed enthusiastic to follow the direction of the speakers when doing relaxation, imagination of the mind and many things to relieve stress. "At least those present can be a fortress to deal with stress, at least for themselves. From here they will later talk and can teach other friends or neighbors. So, we hope that the material we teach can be distributed to the community, "explained Hasanuddin.
Meanwhile, Kades SM Diski, as the host, thanked the speakers and those involved in the event. "I am very grateful. "UMA is very concerned about the community, especially my residents at SM Diski," he said. Sariman hoped that the people who attended the event could practice what had been received from the speakers in their daily lives. "We know, in life there are many problems, especially mothers, right? Hopefully with this, my citizens will be more mature in facing problems, better understanding how to deal with the twists and turns of life.
