Faculty of Law, University of Medan Area, again held a public lecture with Dr. Farid Wajdi S.H., M.Hum who is a Member of the Indonesian Judicial Commission, while the theme of the public lecture is "Ethics with Social Media and Supervision of Judge Behavior".
This public lecture was opened and at the same time remarks by the UMA Rector represented by Deputy Rector III for Student Affairs Muazzul SH M.Hum, and attended by Deputy Dean III for Student Affairs of the Faculty of Law Ridho Mubarak, SH MH, Head of Criminal Affairs Division Wessy Trisna SH MH, and also attended by Deputy Dean III for Student Affairs of the Faculty of Law Ridho Mubarak, SH MH, Head of Criminal Affairs Division Wessy Trisna SH MH UMA Faculty of Law Lecturers and Students.
Farid Wajdi explained some of the KY's duties in order to maintain and uphold the honor of judges, namely by conducting monitoring and oversight of judge behavior, Receiving reports from the public relating to violations of the Code of Ethics and Judges' Code of Conduct (KEPPH), and conducting verification, clarification, as well as investigations of Report of suspected KEPPH violation.

Farid also gave signs in social interactions that is "anything that is inappropriate in offline do not do it online" (Nukman Luthfie). "Then before writing, learn to think first" (Boileau), and don't let the thumb act faster than the brain.
In the Public Lecture, Farid Wajdi also gave a message to students and all participants who attended the public lecture to apply the Principles in Uploading Content on Social Media, namely First, not harming yourself; Second, do not harm the institution / profession; Third, do not violate existing laws.
It is hoped that in the future students, all millennial communities and even more Judges can be more careful in social media, because the Digital Footprint will still be there even if a tweet or post has been deleted.
