Friday, January 10, 2020, Medan Area University held a Scientific Discussion activity with lecturers with the theme "Critical Thinking" which was held at the Multipurpose Building Campus I UMA. The event starts from 09.00 WIB - 12.00 WIB.
This activity presented a lecturer in Electrical Engineering as well as an R&D Engineer from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Ir. Mauritz Panggabean, Ph.D.
Also inviting the Vice-Rector I, Dr. Ir. Siti Mardiana, M.Si. In his remarks, he said the importance of this event in opening the mindset of lecturers and students in thinking critically and systematically. After that, the event was opened by the Vice-Chancellor I.
Ir. Mauritz Panggabean, Ph.D. opened the event by delivering material with the theme "Critical Thinking". In his explanation, he conveyed how to be able to think critically, how to think in a systemic manner, what elements are needed, what are the interrelated patterns, their functions, and how we implement them in everyday life and in the teaching and learning process.
Ir. Mauritz Panggabean, Ph.D. also provides tips and tricks in thinking critically and systematically as well as providing opportunities for lecturers to discuss. The event was then closed with a question and answer session and group photos as well as giving souvenirs and gifts to Ir. Mauritz Panggabean, Ph.D.
