The Chancellor of the Medan Area University (UMA) visited Simalungun University (USI) to become a resource for a public lecture and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on the Collaboration of the MoU between Medan Area University and Simalungun University on Saturday, December 21, 2019, in the Hall of the Faculty of Engineering, Simalungun University.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation was witnessed by the Vice-Chancellor for Cooperation, Dr. Ir. Zulheri Noer MP, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, USI Dr. M. Ade Kurnia Harahap, ST, MT, Professor of the USU Faculty of Engineering Prof. Dr. Eng. Himsar Ambarita ST, MT, all USI engineering faculty and students.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on this collaboration, the Rector of the University of Medan Area hopes that there will be implemented both for student exchanges and for lecturers for joint research/publication, 'said the UMA rector.
"This collaboration is expected to have evidence of cooperation reports both for student exchanges and for research/publication lecturers because in the assessment of higher education quality standards for collaboration, it is not just a signature but there must be proof of cooperation, if there is no evidence of cooperation then there is no value for standards quality of cooperation, 'said the chancellor.
USI Chancellor Dr. Corry M.Si said that he was very happy to collaborate with the Medan Area University, the USI Chancellor would send his students to the Medan Area University and would study at UMA.
Furthermore, the public lecture event hosted by the USU Faculty of Engineering lecturer Prof. Dr. Eng. Himsar Ambarita ST, MT, with the theme "Engineering Simulation as a Research Tool" and the Rector of the University of Medan Area Prof. Dr. Dadan Ramdan M.Eng, M.Sc, with the theme "Indonesian Quality Assurance Standards Towards Industrial Era 4.0".
