Medan Area University (UMA) collaborated with an MoU with the HR Community in the convention hall 1st floor of the UMA campus rectorate building on Wednesday, April 7, 2021.
The cooperation agreement was marked by a signing between the Rector of the University of Medan Area Prof. Dr. Dadan Ramdan, M.Eng, M.Sc. and the President of HR Community Drs. Napril. The signing of the MoU was witnessed by UMA vice-chancellors, Faculty Deans, Bureaus and Institutions, and 11 managers who are members of the HR Community forum.
Rector of the University of Medan Area Prof. Dr. Dadan Ramdan, M.Eng, M.Sc., conveyed the objectives of the MoU to implement the government program, namely Merdeka Learning - Merdeka Campus (MB-KM).
In which the MB-KM Program has 8 activities including student or student exchanges both at home and abroad, internships, teaching, community service, research, social service. "So one of them is that UMA wants to focus on apprenticeship. This internship is at least 1 semester, so we hope that when they have interned at the company, our students will be proficient at working at the company so that UMA graduates can be directly absorbed by the world of business, industry and work," he said Chancellor of UMA.
To implement it, UMA invites the HR Community who manages several companies and they are willing to accept students who are interns or later the experts teach at UMA or our lecturers can also do research there to jointly solve problems in their company. " UMA.
"So in the future, after this MoU is carried out, one by one the faculty will carry out an MoA with these companies to implement the cooperation," he said.
President of HR Community Drs. Napril said this MoU was a legal umbrella for all of us. Maybe later every faculty can get the MoA.
He begged, this cooperation was not limited to an MoU, but it is hoped that there will be a follow-up. "We want every activity to be involved in it. We are ready to share knowledge sharing with UMA," he said.
