The Medan Area University Masters Program held an International Seminar entitled "Islamic Development Governance Integrating Humanities and Technology towards Sustainability" on Monday, April 22, 2019 at the Convention Hall, Library Building, Campus I, Medan Area University.
The International Seminar was attended by the Rector of the Medan Area University Prof. Dr. Dadan Ramdan, M.Eng. M.Sc., Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Dr. Ir. Siti Mardiana, MSi, Deputy Chancellor for Collaboration Dr. Ir. Zulheri Noer, MP, Director of Postgraduate Prof. Dr. Ir. Retna Astuti K., MS, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Dr. Faisal Amri Tanjung, S.ST, MT., Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Dr. Heri Kusmanto, MA, Malaysia University University Students and Medan Area University Students who attended the international seminar.

The Chancellor of the Medan Area University in his remarks said this Seminar was one of the implementations of our collaborative program with USD's ISDEV that had been signed since 2011. This was an important activity to share information about new research especially in the field of Islamic development from around the world, the rector said.
As we know, the publication of papers is one of the requirements to graduate from the graduate program. I hope this activity will provide a good opportunity for all our students and lecturers, especially for UMA graduate students to present or publish their research through this seminar, continued the chancellor.
As for the guests who were present as speakers at the seminar, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Syukri Salleh from ISDEV (USM), Dr. Mif Rohim Noya Sarkum, MA from the Hasyim Asy'ari Thought Study Center (UNHASY).
