The University of Medan Area (UMA) is increasingly concerned with improving the quality of learning during the Covid-19 pandemic.
During the pandemic, UMA added 4 doctors, so that the total number of lecturers with S-3 qualification (doctoral) reached 81 of the 267 permanent lecturers of UMA. Meanwhile, 44 lecturers are currently studying for S-3 at various educational institutions at home and abroad.
"UMA highly recommends that lecturers can continue to improve the quality and level of science to strengthen learning so that the output produced by UMA is truly qualified," said UMA Chancellor Prof. Dr. Dadan Ramdan M.Eng M.Sc.
Until now, said the chancellor, the teaching and learning process at UMA is still carried out online or online. Likewise, practicum and graduation are still done online.
On that occasion, the Chancellor hoped that the academic community and the press could continue to work together, especially to help inform the development of UMA and the efforts of PTS in educating the nation's life.
The Chancellor of UMA also hopes that under the control of Suwarni, who previously held the position of Head of Administration (KTU) of UMA and has held other important positions at UMA, he can maximize his performance as a press partner.
Meanwhile, Suwarni, who has served since 1998 at UMA, admitted that he was very grateful for the trust of the university leadership to appoint him as the head of public relations who was part of the UMA Cooperation and Information Administration Bureau headed by Dr. Syafruddin Ritonga.
He will continue the good relationship with the press that was established previously by the old Head of Public Relations, Ir Asmah Indrawati MP, who is currently the Head of the Center for Research and Community Service (PPM) UMA.
