Medan Area University provides donations for orphans to the Medan Al-Kahfi Foundation on Monday 8 July 2019 at the Taqwa Mosque, Campus I, Medan Area University.
On this occasion the Chancellor of the Medan Area University Prof. Dr. Dadan Ramdan, M.Eng, M.Sc, also accompanied by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Dr. Ir. Hj. Siti Mardiana, M.Sc, Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs Muazzul SH, M.Hum, Head of BAK Sri Irawati, S.Sos, MAP., Head of Suwarni Administration, S.Sos, Submission of compensation was guided by the management of BKM At Taqwa Fauzi Wikanda MPdI.
The Chancellor explained that UMA has an obligation to reduce the burden on the community, especially for those who take part in the education process (school), "UMA has a moral responsibility towards children who are less fortunate in pursuing their education," he said.
The Chancellor believes that UMA's progress and achievements will be more perfect if they can help each other, especially helping orphans and the poor. The Chancellor hopes that the assistance provided can bring blessing to UMA, especially in the moment of admission of new students this year
Meanwhile Muazzul Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs said, UMA was grateful to be able to help orphans. "We hope they will be able to carve out achievements and not be inferior to deficiencies," he said.
According to him, it is precisely the children who are completely lacking in material and have incomplete families, their future can be more advanced. "For example the Prophet. Since he was in the womb he was in an orphan state, then still a child has also become an orphan. But the Apostle can be an example of the people, "said Muazzul.
While Amalia Putri Amran S. Sos, a teacher from the Al Kahfi Foundation expressed gratitude that as many as 30 of their students received compensation and assistance for school supplies from UMA, last year the UMA also provided assistance to the Al Kahfi Foundation, he said.
The activity of supporting orphans was filled with prayers together with the hope that the UMA and YPHAS will continue to progress both in quality and quantity.
