Medan Area University (UMA) held a Workshop on Writing for Student Creativity Program (PKM) 2019 Medan Area University which was held on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at the Convention Hall, campus I of UMA Jl. Pond No.1 Medan Estate.
This activity was attended and opened by the Rector of the Medan Area University Prof. Dr. Dadan Ramdan, M.Eng, M.Sc, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Muazzul SH, M.Hum, Head of BAK Sri Irawati, S.Sos, MAP., As the Speaker of the Dean of Biology Dr. Mufti Sudibyo, M.Sc, UMA Agriculture Lecturer Dr. Ir. Suswaty, MP, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Dr. Faisal Amri Tanjung, S.ST, MT who represented, and the resource person who was present from outside he was a lecturer from Unimed Ir. Batu Mahadi, MT.
PKM is one of the efforts made by the Directorate of Research and Community Service (originally the Directorate of Research and Community Service Dirtjen Dikti), the Directorate General of Research and Development Strengthening, the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education to improve the quality of students (students) in Higher Education so that later they can become community members who have academic and professional abilities who can apply, develop and disseminate science, technology and arts and enrich national culture.
University of Medan Area (UMA) Chancellor Prof. Dr. Dadan Ramdan M.Eng, M.Sc in his welcome speech to students who took part in a workshop on Writing Student Creativity Program Proposals (PKM) where this workshop was very important how to write a proposal, I hope that UMA students who are present here have achievements because not only NKRI fixed price but Achievement also fixed price did not just die performance, "said UMA Rector.

"I hope that UMA students not only graduate in the Student Creativity Program (PKM) but also until they pass the National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS), and later UMA students who excel will be summoned at the Graduation procession to get a reward from the University of Medan Area", said the Rector .
Furthermore, the guest speaker at UMA Agriculture Lecturer Dr. Ir. Suswaty, MP provided material about ideas, creativity and proposal writing which to hone students' creativity and gave ideas to be implemented to the PKM proposal and then any new ideas or wishes that would be made in proposal writing.
Continued by the Dean of Biology Dr. Mufti Sudibyo, M.Sc and representing the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering to correct student proposals that were proposed to be sent to Kemenristekdikti and discuss the proposals made.
Followed by a guest from the Unimed lecturer, Ir. Batu Mahadi, MT explained the tips and tricks and explained the format of writing in the preparation of the proposal.
