University of Medan Cares for Covid -19 Area by Distributing Internet Quota 15Gb + 5Gb CluoudX for 3 Months


The University of Medan Area (UMA) is currently continuing to make efforts to improve campus services by providing Telkomsel Internet Quota subsidy assistance to each active student by distributing it free and gradually. This Internet quota is also one of the efforts of UMA concern for students affected by Covid-19 to ease the burden on students to provide internet quota in the current learning process online.

The distribution of internet quota has started from April 2020 and the distribution of internet quota has been determined until August 2020.

University of Medan Area through the Information Technology Service Center (P2TI) entered into an MoU with Telkomsel as a partner service provider to meet the needs of the Internet quota. In addition to supporting the teaching and learning process in the Online network, it can be implemented well, effectively UMA provides Telkomsel Cloud X as a Conference facility with guaranteed data security.

The following are the stages of the distribution of internet quota subsidy assistance that are useful for online lectures as follows:

Phase I: Upto Package 15 GB + 30 GB Cx April 2020

Phase II: Reg Package 15 GB + 5 GB Cx May 2020

Stage III: Reg Package 15 GB + 5 GB Cx June 2020

Stage IV: Reg Package 15 GB + 5 GB Cx July 2020

The UMA lecturers are also planned to be subsidized by full access Regular Data Package Quota, and in the process of drafting regulations at Telkomsel.

UMA Provides subsidy assistance to all students and lecturers in the form of REGULAR Quota which can be used for all accesses so that online Communication Learning and Teaching (KBM) communication runs smoothly.
